Jenny Gusyk "Young Talent Award"

The Jenny Gusyk Prizes have been awarded by the Equal Opportunities Officer at the University of Cologne since 2010. The three annual prizes in the field of equality/gender or queer studies/family-friendly management not only recognize special achievements in this area, but also commemorate the namesake Jenny Gusyk, the first female student at the University of Cologne after its re-founding at the end of the First World War.

Since 2014, the central institution for Gender Studies at the University of Cologne (GeStiK) has been awarding the Jenny Gusyk "Nachwuchspreis" in the amount of € 1,000 for an outstanding academic thesis in the field of Gender or Queer Studies at the University of Cologne with a minimum grade of "good". Further information can be found here.
