In September 2017, together with the 15th conference of the Conference of Institutions for Women's and Gender Studies in German-speaking Countries (KEG), the first joint conference of the specialist societies for gender studies in German-speaking countries "Current Challenges in Gender Studies" took place at the University of Cologne.

Both conferences were co-conceived and organized by the central scientific institution Gender Studies in Cologne (GeStiK) of the University of Cologne. More information, as well as pictures and reports from both conferences, will soon be available on the conference websites (see useful links).
