Application and admission

Admission requirements are a professionally qualifying university degree (Bachelor's, Diplom, Magister), German language skills and proof of successful attendance of courses in the field of gender and queer studies amounting to at least 12 credit points.

There are 40 places available per year. If more applicants meet the admission criteria than the number of places offered, a selection procedure takes place. Both the final grade of the first degree and any proven special commitment or interest in a subject related to the Master's degree course in Gender & Queer Studies are taken into account.

The program begins in the winter semester, with the application period running from mid-June to mid-July of the current year. Application and enrollment takes place via the University of Cologne. You then enrol at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences as a secondary student.
